Event details
Come and join us in celebration of combining a walk and a dook as part of the Galashiels Walking Festival – Scottish Borders.

Come join our friendly team and explore the land and water around the Borders.
We will start our walk from the car park at Busy Bees nursery behind the Borders General Hospital, we will walk along part of the Rhymer Route to Cauldshiels Loch and return on the same route.
Here we will stop for a short dook to explore the waters of the loch, have a drink and bite to eat before warming up by completing our return back to our cars.
Anyone wishing to give a dook a try are most welcome.
Walking route is partly on uneven ground with inclines and an be muddy in patches.
Route length – approximately 7.0 km.
A suggest list of kit for the dookers is as follows:

♦ water shoes (or old trainers) – this is in addition to your walking shoes
♦ warm drink
